The prevalence rate of Leprosy in this region is quite small. Occasionally we come across some patients who are unaware of this disease and thus reluctant to be treated. We do the necessary counseling and if necessary arrange for their treatment or refer them to a base hospital where Multi Drug Therapy (MDT) is available. We also take care of "Care after Cure" that is dealing with their secondary problems after disease is arrested that is in respect to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatric Care and Socio Economic Rehabilitation.
